His parents were selling their family home and it was Joe who ended up showing the house and landing the sale.
A former resident of the West Loop, River North and Bucktown areas in Chicago within the last ten years, Joe has experience in the condo, townhome and single-family market in every neighborhood throughout the Chicagoland area.

A Certified Home Luxury Specialist, Mary joined @properties in 2003 after several successful years in the commercial real estate industry working with landlords and developers in retail, office and investment properties throughout Chicago. Since 2003, she has been consistently recognized by the Chicago Association of Realtors as a top producing agent.
Mary is known for her enthusiasm, appreciation for Chicago real estate and unwavering commitment to achieving her client’s objectives. Her honest approach, wealth of industry knowledge, and stellar negotiation skills has resulted in a client base that is largely repeat clients and referrals.
“My No. 1 objective is to be an advocate for my clients,” Mary says. “I make it my top priority to listen, educate and advise, and I always keep my clients’ best interest top of mind.”
Mary loves city life. She has a working knowledge of every Chicago neighborhood and enjoys working with all types of clients from first-time homebuyers to luxury buyers and sellers. She moved to Chicago after graduating from The University of Michigan in 2000 and has lived in both Lincoln Park and Lakeview since that time. She enjoys volunteer work and is currently involved with Children’s Memorial Hospital, North Side Housing Services and Metro Achievement Center.
Alejandra Rivera | New Business Coordinator
Alejandra Rivera brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her position. Born and raised in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a master’s degree in Quality Management. Before joining MKT, she served as Manager of Training for Dunkin Donuts and Manager of Marketing for the beverage division of Alimentos Maravilla in Honduras. In addition, she has had the opportunity to use her enthusiasm and love of learning in the classroom, teaching courses at a number of high schools.
Alejandra loves her job, because it gives her the opportunity to help people with one of the most important decisions of their lives. A recent homebuyer herself, she understands the importance of clear communication and attention to detail.
In her free time, she enjoys riding her bike with her husband while exploring the wonders of Chicago’s diverse neighborhoods and sampling the delicious cuisine each has to offer.
Jamie Alvarado | Schedule Coordinator
As a licensed realtor and five-year veteran of @properties, Jamie is excited to be helping clients sell their homes, assuring the scheduling process is seamless and smooth. Before she joined the real estate industry, Jamie studied education at DePaul and worked as an elementary school teacher.
Horseback riding has been one of her favorite hobbies since she was eight. Jamie has been married for six years and has two children and two dogs.
Jane Omundson | Contract & Closing Coordinator
With 10 years of experience overseeing condo conversion projects for the Cyrus Development Group (closing over 1000 units), Jane brings extensive real estate project management skills to her work as a Real Estate Agent Assistant for @properties. Add to that her previous real estate administrative experience at Coldwell Banker as well as her accounting work at Sidley & Austin and a national real estate property management firm, and she’s got the perfect skill set for an effective, efficient real estate professional.
Jane is a great multi-tasker, super-organized and an excellent communicator who can anticipate what needs to be done and make sure it gets done on time. A lifelong resident of the North Shore, she has extensive knowledge of the area’s communities and resources. Jane holds a BFA from Drake University and has an artistic eye for what helps sell a home, whether it’s marketing strategies or staging ideas
Brent Fogt | Marketing Coordinator
Brent joined MKT in 2012 to manage the team’s marketing initiatives, including web development, social media and direct mail. With 15 years of experience in public relations and marketing, Brent brings a wide range of skills to the job. His unique academic background in both the social sciences and graphic arts allows him to translate complex marketing data into written and visual forms that are easy to understand.
A Texas transplant, Brent is thrilled to be in Chicago to learn more about its wonderful architecture and neighborhoods. Brent holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. When he is not engaged in marketing projects, he is working on drawings and sculpture in his art studio.
Tiana O’Neill | Licensed Broker, Showing Agent
Tiana is a lifelong Chicagoland resident. A proud University of Iowa Hawkeye, Tiana ran Division 1 cross country and track. As a student athlete, she developed a competitive edge, the ability to multi-task, and strong communication and organizational skills. After college, Tiana mentored and provided therapy for specially-abled children and young adults. Her gifts of patience and compassion translate well to real estate. Emily Moore is a hard-working problem solver who listens closely to her clients and works hard to find them the home that meets their needs. Before joining the MKT team, Emily worked in Chicago’s exciting salon and spa industry, where she successfully established and maintained long-term customer relationships.
Emily, who grew up in the Northern Suburbs, prides herself on her knowledge of Chicago’s many neighborhoods, including the North Shore. In her spare time she enjoys reading, dining out and following her Chicago Bulls and Bears teams. Emily has lived in Bucktown but currently resides in the Logan Square neighborhood with her dog Riley.

Dan Champion brings to each client relationship a distinguished work ethic and an extensive professional network. Prior to joining MKT, he spent two years as a Trading Clerk on the exchange floor at the Chicago Board of Trade. He decided to pursue a full time career with MKT Properties after he recognized that he wanted to focus his talents on the Chicago real estate market.
While currently residing on the north side of Chicago, Dan understands the importance of finding you the right home in the right neighborhood. Dan believes that hard work and a thorough understanding of the clients’ needs will exceed the desired results.

Since becoming a Licensed Realtor® in 2003, Tawnya McVicker has quickly distinguished herself both within the industry and with her clients. An Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), Tawnya received Rookie of the Year award in 2004 for exceeding $5 million in sales volume within her first year of business. She is also a member of the Graduated Realtor Institute (GRI) and a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). Since then she has grown her experience to include the successful sale of all types of properties from condos to single-family homes. She also has developed a vast working knowledge of the entire Chicagoland market by representing clients from the South Side to the North Shore suburbs, and all neighborhoods in between. Most recently she has become a Licensed Real Estate Broker.

Courtney is a proud alumna of Loyola Academy. She graduated from Marquette University in 2004 with a bachelor degree in Communications. Courtney began her real estate career nine years ago as a licensed assistant, which provided a wonderful opportunity for her to learn the business from two top producing agents in the Chicago Area. After a short stint as a marketing coordinator for a Chicago commercial developer, she realized that her heart was in the residential market and joined @properties in 2008 as a salesperson. Through these experiences she gained knowledge and expertise in marketing and real estate. Courtney has extensive knowledge of Chicago and its unique and wonderful neighborhoods. She has been a resident of Lincoln Park for the past nine years. In addition, Courtney is also familiar with the North suburbs, where she grew up and began her real estate career.

Hilary’s real estate heritage goes back generations. Her great grandfather and grandfather had successful careers in real estate development, construction and management in the greater Chicago area, and her mother is a top real estate agent. After graduating from the University of Louisville, Hilary worked as a marketing/agent assistant for a real estate company then obtained her broker’s license.
Driven not only by her desire to turn her client’s aspirations into concrete realities but also by her love of Chicago real estate, Hilary joined MKT Properties, the top-producing @properties team. Her objective is to surpass her client’s expectations while making the process enjoyable. Kelly Bisceglia Boenzi | Licensed Broker
Kelly, a lifelong resident of Riverside, joined the Bucktown office of @properties as part of the MKT Properties team. Her goal was to boost the team’s client base and contribute to the overall success of MKT’s listings, clients, sales production and overall business using a variety of media initiatives, including social media, traditional media and public relations. Drawing upon her wealth of knowledge and experience in media communications, more than five years experience in the real estate industry, attention-to-detail and creativity, Kelly was able to develop the perfect, custom-fit business plan for each client.
With the new strategic marketing structure in place for the team, Kelly continued her education in real estate and obtained a broker’s license. She then shifted her focus to new business development, working as the team’s New Business Coordinator & Showing Agent before becoming an MKT Team Agent.
Kelly now offers the same custom-fit business plans she first developed for the Bucktown office to her own clientele of buyers and sellers, both in the city of Chicago and the Western Suburbs. Kelly is extremely excited to be out in the field working for one of the top-selling real estate teams within @properties. She looks forward to helping the team expand their business in the near-Western Suburbs.

With more than five years of experience in the industry under her belt, Lauren is prepared to handle any question you could possibly have as a first time (or anytime) home owner. Lauren has a degree from DePaul University in Sales and Marketing. Through her formal education, internships, and career experience, she has been exposed to sales, rehabbing, developing, appraising, financing, staging and many other intricacies to the real estate industry. After all of that experience, she realized she was drawn to helping people buy and sell property.
Lauren has lived in the Chicagoland area all her life. She is very active, and involved in playing soccer, serving at a local church, and giving back to her community. She takes her business very seriously and sees her position imperative in helping buyers on a their journey in one of the most important purchases of their life. Ray Johnson brings an in-depth knowledge of home construction and renovation to his role as a real estate broker. He spent 17 years in the home construction business, working in a variety of positions including carpenter and finisher, before becoming a realtor. Ray’s real estate business is focused on the Western Suburbs, an area he knows well. He lives in the Village of Lemont, where he is an active community member. His energetic children attend Oakwood/River Valley Middle School and Old Quarry Junior High, and he is involved in their athletic activities and Boy Scouts. When he is not helping clients, Ray enjoys working out at Crossfit and spending time with his family at home.
Amber Levy | Licensed Broker
Amber Levy began her career in real estate in 2007 as a sales and marketing coordinator for The Chicago Spire. Responsible for researching, planning and executing domestic and international sales exhibitions, Amber helped generate more than $60 million in sales. She also gained experience in the high intensity and fast-paced world of on the spot contract execution, which has given her the unique ability to thrive under stress while attending to the needs of each and every client.
In 2010, Amber joined @properties as the firm’s marketing and event specialist. In addition to planning all corporate events, she managed all client and agent appreciation programs and promotional incentives while assisting with the company’s award-winning marketing programs. She also worked closely with some of @properties’ top-producing teams on a number of projects.
After six years on the marketing side of the industry, Amber decided to transition over to sales. She joined MKT Properties, one of @properties’ and Chicago’s top-producing teams. Amber’s marketing expertise combined with her ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, attention to detail, and skills in customer service, project management and problem solving all serve as a strong foundation for a successful real estate broker.
Amber was born and raised in Barrington. A longtime resident of Chicago, she has spent the last 10 years moving between the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park and Lakeview communities, which has provided her with extensive firsthand knowledge of Chicago’s neighborhoods.
Robyn Pretzie | Licensed Broker
Robyn Pretzie brings a unique, highly valuable perspective to the real estate field. Prior to getting her broker’s license and joining MKT in 2014, she worked as a residential real estate appraiser for five years. Her expertise in the appraisal process is a tremendous asset, enabling her to to get the best possible prices for clients, whether they are selling or buying. She is also able to use her hands-on experience to advise clients who are considering putting their homes on the market what, if any, updates or renovations would be worth the money.
Robyn was born and raised in St Paul, Minnesota, and graduated from the College of St. Catherine with a B.A. in Marketing. She has lived in the Northwest suburbs for the past 14 years. She currently lives in Elmhurst with her husband Ron, daughters Gianna (10) and Mia (8), and son Christopher (5). When not serving clients, she is active in the Elmhurst community and, in particular, Jefferson Elementary School. For relaxation, she hangs out with her family, reads, shops and takes bike rides along the Illinois Prairie Path.
Melissa Vasic | Licensed Broker
Melissa Vasic joined MKT because she wanted to work for “the best team in the city.” She prides herself on being an advocate for her clients. With 13 years of experience in the industry, Melissa is a seasoned negotiator and leaves no stone unturned when it comes to getting her clients the best deal possible. Because Melissa attends to every detail, her clients can relax and focus on big picture topics such as what they are looking for in a home.
Making clients feel comfortable comes naturally to Melissa. Her first career, in fact, was working for a prominent Michigan Avenue periodontal practice as an office manager and dental hygienist. In addition to calming many a nervous patient, she also negotiated with insurance companies on their behalf, ensuring they received the benefits to which they were entitled. Melissa made the transition from dentistry to real estate because of her love of interior design and her desire to invest in real estate. She also realized that real estate, like dentistry, was as another way to help people and look out for their well being.
Melissa grew up in the Chicago area and currently lives in Elmhurst. In her leisure time, she likes to spend time with her family, listen to live music and show saddlebred horses. Melissa holds a B.S. in Dental Hygiene from Loyola University.
Justin Hooks| Licensed Broker, Leasing
Born and raised in Joliet, Justin Hooks got his start in real estate a decade ago when he began working for his father’s real estate business. He moved to Chicago in 2006 and joined @properties in 2010. As MKT’s primary leasing agent, Justin is especially skilled at finding clients the perfect rental home in the ideal neighborhood. Because he asks the right questions and gains a keen understanding of clients’ needs, he is able to hone in quickly on the best properties.
When he isn’t busy working with clients, Justin plays the drums. For two years, he toured the country with his band, sharing with audiences the drumming skills he developed through 23 years of practice.
Justin majored in Fire Science Management at Southern Illinois University.
